Lafarge Egypt is hiring: Lab Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Making sure that Lab systems are preforming it’s function in a proper way.
• Creating a sustainable budget lab systems division and making sure to spend in the best way possible.
• Increase equipment reliability close to about 100 percent (no error tolerable).
• Troubleshooting, repair testing and calibrating defective or malfunctioning laboratory equipment.
• Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance procedures on laboratory equipment at the State Laboratory and maintain required records.
• Fabricating and modifying laboratory equipment to meet the needs of the laboratory.
• Ordering parts for repair and maintenance of equipment and maintaining spare parts inventory as authorized.
• Use SAP PM to record maintenance activities, work orders and purchasing.
• Use SAP PM to record maintenance activities, work orders and purchasing.
• Perform PM routines on non-vendor supported equipment to meet the laboratory performance.
• Reduce equipment parts cost by improving procedures, exploring alternative part sources, and lifetime extensions of consumable parts.
• Utilize structured problem-solving approach for complex equipment related issues.
• Verifies equipment information (including serial number, location, and status) in order to properly schedule work requests.
• Coordinates work order escalations, including, obtaining quotes, purchase orders, scheduling with vendors, and providing escort to instruments.
• Responsible for reviewing and implementing of yearly calibration plan for all instruments and equipment inside the labs.
• Provide specialist services to maintain, calibrate, and qualify specialized equipment.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis according to Lafarge standards.
Education:
Engineering Bachelor Degree.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in a similar field preferably in a cement industry.

Job Requirements
Required educational level: Bachelor degree of Engineering Specialization: Production, chemistry, industrial, Mechanical.
Min. 2 years of experience within a manufacturing / Process environment with previous exposure to CI projects & knowledge (lean or six sigma certificates is a plus).
Highly motivated & positive individual that can work in a challenging environment.
Excellent communication skills especially with blue collars.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Good English language.
Proficiency in working with computers
