The Health & Safety Engineer shall direct, implement and manage all safety & environmental programs and processes at Operations Site/Plant to ensure safe working places at the plant, guarantee compliance with local regulations and relevant Nissan policies.
Responsibilities:
Ensure SMS ( Safety Management system )is implemented & communicated within the company.
Establish, update safety policy , procedures, instruction & checklists according to company regulations & standards with co-operation with OHS Team.
Prepare safety KPI’s progress on yearly basis with reference to previous years & global KPI’s.
Ensure that ISO 14K , ISO 45K procedures are updated , implemented & documented.
Conduct technical audits to identify unsafe condition & set countermeasures.
Ensure implementation of PTW, SJA, pre-job safety meeting & other similar safety tools.
Monitor PPE ( personal protective equipment ) stock & report consumption on monthly basis
Conduct risk assessment with contractor & other related functions
Shall prepare specific training material for shop floor staff
Support OHS team to prepare SDS standards sheet to be communicated with all departments.
Communicate with third parties & subcontractors to cascade safety instructions.
Carry out induction & safety training for new comers, visitors…etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor degree in Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in health and safety field.
Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills are required
Must be flexible with the ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.
Critical-thinking and decision-making in fast-paced environment
Proficiency using MS Office applications
ISO 14k & ISO 45K Internal Auditors
Knowledge of Fire Alarm/Fighting systems
Good knowledge of local safety/environmental regulations
