Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the EMEA HR Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist role will make an impact: role will work closely with Viatris HR and the business to provide administrative and specialist support to the Viatris HR MEA & CIS Compensation and Benefit operations. We are looking for an individual who is resourceful and creative, shows initiative and persistence and has strong organizational skills. This individual should be self-motivated, and capable of achieving results.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
This role will actively support in the development, implementation and maintenance of compensation best practices across EMEA. This role will also execute on the routine day to day activities of EMEA compensation and operational practices and policies. This role will prepare analysis and present recommendations on compensation for the team. Further, the incumbent will be responsible to support the content development, process roll-out, training and communication of compensation initiatives and maintenance of compensation databases.
Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze compensation and benefits data, identify trends, and share insights for data-driven decisions
Support in annual compensation cycles (merit, bonus and market adjustment pay processes, including payout computations, cost scenarios and budget analysis)
Lead the integration of jobs into the company market data platform (MarketPay)
Lead the salary survey process from data submission to company market platform update
Participate in ad-hoc salary and comp practices surveys
Maintain market data platform, internal salary and grade structure databases, process documents and guidelines. Assess compliance with pay equity legislation and other regulatory requirements
Lead Compensation reviews (country, function…)
Support the development, implementation, documentation, and ongoing evaluation of total rewards processes and programs
Manage day-to-day administration of off-cycle compensation processes including benchmarks, grading of roles, recommendations on new hire salary, promotion increases, spot bonuses, incentive pay computations, salary reviews, and related documentation, in accordance with the company’s compensation strategy
Respond to questions on total rewards processes and guidelines
Assist with data integrity efforts, transaction assistance, process inquiries, data corrections/updates and reporting
Research global best practices and local market norms on total rewards
Supports in the benefits harmonization and inventory collection
Stakeholder member in the compensation harmonization project
Participate in ad-hoc Compensation and Benefits activities and projects
Conduct training / education sessions to HR and Managers on company compensation philosophy, processes and guidelines
Provide accurate, complete, and timely submission of required reports, forecasts and various analyses
Complete compensation related audit reports to make sure compensation related data in Workday is correct
Perform other duties as assigned
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
You should have some or most of the following:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with modeling and costing
Advanced Excel user with experience making sense of complex, high quantity, and divergent data
Good understanding of compensation, benefits and total rewards concepts, programs and best practices
Strong research skills with a curious mindset to gather global best practices and trends on compensation
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to a variety of audience
Self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables with minimal guidance
Ability to exercise good judgment in managing confidential and sensitive information
Must be a quick learner, comfortable with navigating evolving situations in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
Meticulous attention to details and accuracy
Savvy with HR systems with demonstrated ability to set up efficient workflows
Good understanding of HR information systems or related reporting tools
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written are required
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline and 3-4 years of working experience in a similar or financial position
English language required
Must be able to work efficiently within a small team and individually
