HSE Engineer At TAQA Power
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as implementing and maintaining effective HSE policies and procedures across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international regulations and standards.
– Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
– Provide guidance and support to management and employees in all HSE matters.
– Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
– Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
– Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
– Manage and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, incident reports, and training records.
– Liaise with government agencies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
– Keep up-to-date with changes in HSE regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineer, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
– 1-2 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the energy or oil and gas industry.
– Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
– Experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Proven ability to lead and manage HSE initiatives and projects.
– Certified HSE professional (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
