The Opportunity
This position works out of our office in Cairo in the Established Pharmaceutical Division where we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women’s health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.
As a Medical Advisor, you’ll work within the medical team to support the implementation of the global and regional medical affairs strategy, work closely with cross-functional team to lead the shared projects from the medical affairs perspective and to be the subject matter expert in the relevant therapy areas.
What You’ll Do:
To implement the medical strategy of the relevant TAs including external engagements with KOLs and medical societies (face-to-face, scientific presentations) and health authority officers.
Support the current and planned local products’ new launch activities to expand the portfolio growth in Egypt (from medical affairs perspective) which are not in the scope of the global support (development of training modules, development of marketing claims, collect business insights, conduct training for Abbott team and support listing activities in key hospitals).
Support the updated plans of conducting local clinical studies and research programs in relevant TAs as a part of regional programs.
Conduct advisory board meetings to gather expert insights to develop marketing strategy of the current and planned business development opportunities.
To support the other functions in implementing medical literature updates including patient Insert Leaflets.
To identify recently published scientific articles and develop a counter-message
Handle Medical queries of HCPs, Conduct medical trainings for the internal team and support the review process of patient information leaflets
Develop and expand KOLs database and action plan in the relevant therapy areas
Required Qualifications
Physician or pharmacist
Minimum 3 years in similar role
Previous Knowledge of relevant therapy areas
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent cross-functional communication skills
Fluency in English & MS office
