Title: Artwork & Pack Management Lead / Site Launch & Change Coordinator
Job Purpose:
Reporting to Logistics Head, Artwork & Pack Management Lead / Site Launch & Change Coordinator is responsible to meet agreed supply and production plans for different SKUs undergoing packaging changes within agreed timelines via agreed governances. He / She will work in partnership with internal and external functions and stakeholders. He/She will:
Ensure correct & timely delivery of packaging artworks & material for Pharma and Consumer Health products
Act as point of contact for the Egypt GSK LOC & non GSK License Holders, CMOs ,With GSK manufacturing sites, and External Supply sites.
Act as interface between all relevant parties in the packaging & artwork process, both internal (Quality, Production Engineering, marketing, regulatory, logistics, finance) ; and external (pack change coordinator in Service Delivery Centers, Artwork Design Agents and print suppliers).
As Site Pack Technologist- Be accountable for Technical Drawing Creation and approval by both site and market for packs running on different packaging lines
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the timely progression of all artwork changes, from initiation, site data, briefing, & approval to file delivery to printers. Chasing action owners and approvers where necessary, escalating any delays / issues to key stakeholders.
NPI pack creation and coordinating marketing requirements with site production; quality & procurement to assess and approve on the implementation; Updating the Pack Change information slide and presenting in the weekly Technical Review Meeting
Facilitate and contribute in cross functional artwork brief meetings providing information on the artwork providers/process lead-times.
Site data creation-
Unique Pharma code assignment and maintaining the Pharmacode Excel Sheet; & New packaging components item codes creation;
Assigning the appropriate technical drawing and material specification to the relevant artwork.
Serialization implementation- Responsible for maintaining and coordinating Serialization required data: GTIN assignment on GS1 system; DCF for EPCIS configuration; Preprint/Overprint information revision and approval.
Being the first contact for all artwork related issues coordinating the resolution of all technical queries from design, printers, marketing, medical, regulatory team and supply chain.
Ensure all artworks are progressed in compliance with global & local SOPs. Highlight and investigate artwork related quality issues; Manage and help resolve artwork corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs); Work with key stakeholders to perform root cause analysis when performance has not met expected levels. Accountable for CCRs and actions related to packaging
Update and manage final artwork items on the SKU BOM in Artwork Management Systems (Pharma & Consumer) and notify scheduling team for BOM update in MERPs.
Shared Pack Management- Liaising with other markets, Export and Local, if using shared materials.
Ensure that all preferred print suppliers will have the artwork file for printing orders whenever required by site.
Ensure appropriate phase in – phase out implementation of printed packaging components aiming to 0% Stock out incidences, and avoid regulatory non compliances & write offs.. Align the material and scheduling team with all pack changes in periodic meetings for artwork changes; and implementation timelines (DRD & RRD), revising periodic MRP runs
Providing valuable information for benefit of the Portfolio Optimization projects.
Attend Monthly meeting with the Pack Catalogue & Portfolio Optimization team to discuss RAG status and ways of improvement. Alignment with PPV projects.
Accountable for deployment of new Packaging & Artwork systems, role mapping and training of the critical or non-critical users involved in the Pack Management process.
Key Requirements:
Good knowledge of Artwork and pack management & Technology, Planning & Supply chain processes.
Bachelors Degree Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Phamaceutical/ Engineering/Business
