Job brief
QHSE supervisor will examine quality of products & the workplace for environmental or physical factors that could affect employee health, safety, comfort, and performance. They may examine products for compliance & factors such as lighting, equipment, materials, and ventilation.
Some develop and conduct employee quality & safety and training programs. These programs cover a range of topics, such as receiving techniques, products quality, how to use safety equipment correctly and how to respond in an emergency.
Responsibilities
Inspect, test, and evaluate products, workplace environments, equipment, and quality & safety practices to ensure that they follow standards and government regulations.
Prepare written reports on their findings.
Design and implement workplace processes and procedures that help in applying quality standards & protect workers from hazardous work conditions.
Take correction actions & Prepare root cause analysis
Vendors follow up & evaluation
Follow up on correct receiving, storage, handling, and transportation practices
Follow up on cleaning and sanitation process
Minimizing the risk of non-conforming products, staff illness and injury
Evaluate programs on quality, health, and safety.
Educate employees and workers about workplace safety by preparing and providing training programs.
Demonstrate the correct use of safety equipment.
Investigate incidents and accidents to identify what caused them and how they might be prevented.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in veterinary, agriculture, chemistry or a related scientific or technical field.
Experience more than 5 years.
Awareness courses in ergonomics, occupational safety management, and accident prevention is a plus.
Certified in Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000:2018) (Advantage).
Certified in Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018) (Advantage).
Able to provide on-the-job training, learn about specific laws and inspection procedures, learn to conduct tests, and recognize hazards.
Communication skills: able to communicate quality & safety instructions and concerns to employees and managers, needs to be able to work with technicians to collect and test samples of possible hazards, such as dust or vapors, in the workplace.
Detail oriented: adhere to specific quality & safety standards and governmental regulations.
Problem-solving skills; able to find solutions to quality issues, unsafe working conditions, and environmental concerns in the workplace.
