Key responsibilities
• Align internally and with our external lawyers on handling of all criminal related issues for Maersk
• This covers all product service that Maersk currently offers aligned with our new strategy as an end to end logistics & service provider
• Handling of transit shipment incidents that occur in Egypt & communicate with our vendors while monitoring their performance
• Support in customer Cargo claims of Egypt covering both Ocean & all logistics and services
• Handle customer communications under legal & commercial assessments of recovery cases with relevant desks
• Liaise with lawyers to file and handle the recovery cases at courts as soon the decision is taken
• Support center legal department in clearing and handling court cases
• Support Global claims in cargo recovery claims whenever needed to protect the Carrier’s interest
• Job is office based & no requirement for visiting official authorities will be requested due to our always available external lawyers for such matters
We are looking for
• Bachelor degree from Faculty of Law “English department section” or 2 years’ experience in criminal law
• Excellent verbal/written communication in English
• Native language is a must
• High stakeholder management skills
• Agility & proactive mindset to work on incident/claim prevention
