Job Description

A Quality Controller (QC) is responsible for ensuring that products or services meet defined quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. They monitor production processes, conduct inspections, and identify areas for improvement to prevent defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods

• Conduct quality tests and document results

• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations

• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities

• Work with production and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues

• Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation

• Support internal and external audits

• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Monitor KPIs such as defect rates, rework, and customer complaints

• Continuously improve quality processes and systems

Skills Required

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of quality control systems and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards)

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality tools (SPC, Pareto charts, Fishbone diagrams)

• Experience with inspection and testing methods

• Understanding of manufacturing processes

• Ability to use software like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or ERP systems

• Time management and organization

Education & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical), Science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science), or Quality Management or related field.

Preferred Certifications

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor

• Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt)

• Lean Manufacturing certification
