Liptis Pharmaceuticals in Egypt is pleased to announce that there is a position opening for “Weighing Specialist”. We are looking for qualified and highly motivated professionals to apply to our state-of-the-art manufacturing complex which meets and exceeds all international standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Weigh raw materials with precision and accuracy for pharmaceutical products according to the batch record
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly Central Weighing Area
• Check the zero point of all Central Weigh Area scales daily and document the action
• Order raw materials from the Distribution Centre to the Central Weigh Area using a computerized transfer order based on the weighing plan
• Identify weighed raw material with a weigh sticker showing the name, weight, control number, material number, date, and product & batch number of the product for which it was dispensed
• Ensure that the oldest release number is used first
• Weigh exact amount of raw material indicated on the batch processing record
• Communicate as necessary with representatives of Production Planning, Pharmaceutical QC, and Warehouse personnel, to ensure the timely release and/or transfer of raw materials
• Keep the weighing area, equipment, containers and utensils clean at all times according to all applicable SOPs
• Deduct raw material amounts from computerized inventory/pin card. Deducted material will be charged to the product lot number manufactured
• Notify Pharmaceutical QC of raw materials that need additional testing before use in the manufacturing process based on instructions in the batch production record
• Ensure that the required documentation accompanies the batch record.
• Assist, when necessary, in the investigation of any discrepancies between the physical balance of a raw material and the balance in the computerized inventory
• Prepare for and participate in audits and external/internal inspections
• Maintain proper documentations and logbook & records for materials and equipment
• Issuing SOPs

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Chemistry
• Minimum of 6 Months of Experience in a Similar Position
• Excellent Command of the English Language (written and spoken)
• Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
