Site Name: Egypt – Cairo

As an Environment, Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible to support implementation of EHS Internal control framework at Cairo/ Giza site.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

Establishing strong working relationships with production staff, Commercial management, relevant managers, and consultants. Through action and review of these relationships, demonstrating accountability with a focus on customer service.
Working cooperatively across boundaries and the matrix to achieve results, delivering results with high integrity while focusing on execution, acting with flexibility and perseverance, balancing accuracy and speed in decision making and removing barriers.
Conducting thorough and careful analysis of data, gathering critical information, effectively allocating/reassessing required organizational resources, and delivering quality solutions to EHS issues.
Proactively identifying EHS issues and delivering efficient responses to EHS improvement opportunities
Knowledgeable about Egyptian EHS laws and regulatory compliance impacting the organization (Labor office – Civil Defense- Ministry of environment)
Conducting and reviewing workplace assessments and identifying mitigation actions following hierarchy of controls.
Leading accident / Near miss investigations to identify root causes and advising on mitigation plans accordingly. Playing a key role in site Emergency preparedness to mitigate emergency cases, financial losses, risks, and disasters.
Conducting self-inspection and audits for GSK EHS STDs and guidelines and acting as a representative for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Developing EHS policies, procedures and supporting their implementation to enable managers to effectively achieve EHS performance objectives in their departments or comply with EHS Local regulations & GSK EHS STDs to reduce or mitigate activities associated risks/impacts.
Why you?

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of experience as an EHS Practitioner
If you have the following qualifications & characteristics, it would be a plus:

NEBOSCH IGC certificate
Regulatory EHS Specialist certification
ISO 45001 Lead auditor
High learning agility
Good communication skills
