Teaching and Research Assistant – Business Informatics at German University in Cairo
Position Description:
The German University in Cairo seeks Teaching and Research Assistants in Business Informatics. The teaching assistant will assist in tutorials, labs and other course-related activities; support student graduation projects (including supervising development tasks); conduct research in projects and for PhD; engage in trainings, industry events, student activities, and departmental administration.
The candidate should have a strong interest in research and pursuing a PhD degree in Business Informatics or Management Information Systems, based on a high-quality Master thesis and/or on a track record of other research activities.
Qualifications:
BSc/MSc. in (Management) Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant major; thesis topic must have been related to Information Systems
Applicants must have experience in one or more of the below
Academic experience (e.g. teaching assistant, research assistant)
Industry project participation
Practical work with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP or OES, Oracle RDBMD, Teradata), programming with Java, ASP.net, C#
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent command of English language
Good management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, communicate and motivate effectively
Team-work spirit
Cultural Competence in dealing with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
